Within the project Through Women’s Lenses: initiating policies and budget initiatives, monitoring the implementation of local action plans for gender equality, the Center for Research and Policy Making, together with project partners – Journalists for Human Rights, Luludi, Rural Coalition and EHO Stip realizes the campaign “Month of Gender Equality in Decision Making”.
At the local level, we join the celebration of March 8 – the Day of the Struggle for Women’s Rights, under the global theme: “Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in the World of Covid-19”. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the need to improve gender equality at the local level and the importance of gender responsive budgeting to achieve gender equality.
We conducted a gender analysis of municipal programs and leadership positions in 17 municipalities, and the results will be shared on our social networks throughout the month of March. Additionally, within the campaign, we held a workshop with the local media, a debate with the local coordinators for equal opportunities and a debate with the relevant Ministers.
